Jerseys
Looser, body-skimming fit
Jerseys are meant to fit loosely and lightly skim the body. The hem should hit around the hip. Women's jerseys are cut curvier and longer (hit lower on the hip).
How to measure: To get a proper jersey fit, we suggest selecting a jersey or top that fits correctly right now, laying it flat on a hard surface, and measuring the chest right below the armpits. We have put a "pit to pit" measurement on all listings. If you double this, you will get the chest measurements. All our measurements, since we sell mostly American clothing, are in inches.
Here are some sizing charts for popular brands. You can select the brand from the drop-down list and check the brand's standard measurements. Note, however, that the most reliable gauge for fit will be to take your own measurements of a well-fitting garment you already own, as mentioned above.

Babies' and Toddlers' Items
Generally sized according to age
Newborn/Infant sizes are stated in months. This roughly corresponds to the age of the baby, but (surprise!) babies vary in size by age.

Always size up in this category. You know, your baby will grow, and they will fit in it before you know it!

FAQ: What's the difference between a 24 months and a 2T size? Glad you asked! Generally speaking, 24 months is considered an infant size, which means there are usually snaps in the nappy area. 2T is considered a toddler, big girl/boy size, for when they are potty-trained!

Womens' Apparel
American numbered sizes
Most women's apparel is sized XS-XXL and up, with the sizes corresponding to American size numbers. Generally a UK small will correspond to a US small and so on, but sizes vary by garment and manufacturer, so measuring is really the only way to be sure.

American women's sizes run 1.5 - 2 sizes bigger than UK sizes. As an example, if you wear a UK 12, that's around a US 8 (depending on brand). Size conversions between US and UK sizing can be found on a chart here.

General Sizing Advice
More considerations
Ordering youth sizes: Many people try to save money by ordering youth sizes. If you're doing this, don't forget to consider the length of the garment. Youth garments may not fall at the hip if you are tall, so check the overall garment length against our measurements. Sleeve length is also shorter. Barring these issues, many men who wear a small or medium can wear a youth XL.
